Epic Games Details the Road Ahead For 'Fortnite'
Epic Games' online sandbox shooter Fortnite recently broke its concurrent player record, but the studio isn't resting on its laurels. It's currently working on a number of improvements and features for the blockbuster game, and it detailed its plans in a blog post on Friday.
Epic says it's working on service stability issues, load time improvements, new social features, better matchmaking, and more. Later this month, it's also adding an optional 60 FPS mode for Battle Royale on consoles. It recently opened a West Coast Xbox server and will start a Brazilian one soon.
Epic is also working on some new content, like "more adventurous" cosmetics, including a "Llama Unicorn Pickaxe" inspired by a fan on Reddit. Additionally, there will be new Limited Time Modes, custom matches, and a new Battle Pass. Epic will release details on that at a later date.
