'Pokémon Go' has highest grossing day since launch
Pokémon Go just had one of its highest grossing days ever thanks to the release of its first legendary Pokémon. Players spent approximately $5.8 million worldwide on Sunday, July 23, according to mobile intelligence company SensorTower. That’s one day after long-awaited legendary Pokémon Articuno and Lugia made their in-game debut. The launch coincided with the first ever Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago, which had a few connectivity issues, leading to some fan outrage, a few thrown bottles, and at least one lawsuit.
