Plumbers Don't Wear Ties
When games first moved from cartridge and floppy to CD it opened up a lot of possibilities for high-fidelity video and audio. It also opened up the market to a lot of terrible interactive movies, with scripts and performances that resembled porn even when they weren't. United Pixtures' 1993 PC game Plumbers Don't Wear Ties was even worse – it abandoned its full motion video sequences after the intro, presenting the rest of the game as a series of still photos with cheesy voiceovers. At the end of each scene players chose what would happen next, attempting to steer John (a plumber in a tie, hence the title) and Jane (a college student constantly being sexually harrassed for some reason) together to find true love and possibly take their clothes off. Also, sometimes the narrator wears a chicken mask?
