Peperami is a dried pork sausage popular in the UK (it's basically a Slim Jim), and the Peperami Animal is their mascot – a gurning dried meat product who used to be voiced by comedian Adrian Edmondson from The Young Ones. He got his own PC game by long-defunct UK publisher Ocean Software in 1996, which took the form of a point-and-click adventure set in Snackopolis and saw you dealing with rising tensions between cookies, vegetables and other snack-creatures. The game primarily involved solving simple puzzles, and progress through the adventure eventually unlocked a tacked-on first person shooting section, but having to do all this as a crusty screaming sausage-man removed any of the charm it might have had.
