Acer WMR Headset
Acer’s Mixed Reality headset is the one of the most comfortable of the bunch, just slightly more comfortable than the Dell and about on par with Samsung’s much more expensive headset. That’s likely because the headset’s strap widens considerably in the front where it presses up against your forehead. It’s the widest of the bunch in this area. The padding on the front and back is also thick and seemingly durable. As with most of the other headsets, the front can be flipped up to give you a view of the real world. While the headset only offers a 100-degree field of view, it’s not that noticeable while in use. A dial on the back is used to click the headset down until it feels like it will hold. Finally, Acer’s face padding wraps completely around, even up between the eyes, allowing it to double as a bit of a light filter. Though, I worry the padding there may fall apart over time.
