Watch Bill Belichick Sing ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’
It turns out that Ariana Grande isn’t the only star looking to make a splash on the charts this holiday season.
You know how there isn’t much left in the football world for Bill Belichick to conquer? The dude’s coached in nearly 400 games and built up quite the resume over that time, including four Super Bowls, six AFC championships and three Coach of the Year awards. Well, at the age of 63, it looks like he’s finally ready to step off the sidelines and right into the booth – because he’s just recorded a very curmudgeonly cover of a Christmas classic.
Not really. But at least we know what it would sound like if he did.
Thanks to the wonders of video editing, Fox Sports created a music video of Belichick sorta singing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” Genius, we know. So instead of listening to Michael Bublé or Frank Sinatra for the gazillionth time on Christmas Day, you now have the option of being serenaded by the Patriots’ coach for a whopping 45 seconds – and that’s a gift that keeps on giving.
It’s far from perfect – that’s what you get for gathering clips from Belichick’s boring press conferences, and where’s Tom Brady? – but this is probably the closest we’ll ever get to hearing Bill Belichick sing a Christmas carol.
For that reason and that reason only, you should just appreciate it for what it is: Christmas magic.
