The Entire City of Atlanta Is Dabbing on the Carolina Panthers

After the Dirty Birds end Carolina’s bid for perfection, they have a litte fun at Cam Newton’s expense…OK, a lot of fun

The Carolina Panthers were so close to the record that they could taste it.

With victories over the Atlanta Falcons, whom they demolished 38-0 in Week 14, and the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers, currently rubbing shoulders with the New Orleans Saints at the bottom of the NFC South, they would’ve become just the second team in NFL history to finish the regular season 16-0.

But, alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

Despite being heavy underdogs, the Falcons protected their house on Sunday with a 20-13 victory over the Panthers, thereby ending Carolina’s run at perfection. And while beating the NFL’s only unblemished team is cause for celebration, that’s not the only reason the Falcons were over the moon – they were enjoying some oh-so-sweet revenge, too.

“If you handle yourself with class, you don’t have to worry about that,” Falcons linebacker O’Brien Schofield said. “But you see, they didn’t handle themselves with class the first time we played. So I didn’t care about how they were feeling after this game. I was ‘dabbing’ all in their faces.”

So, yeah, not only did the Panthers have to deal with their only loss in the season, the Falcons weren’t apologizing for trolling Cam Newton, the man who made dabbing famous earlier this year. That includes team owner Arthur Blank, who dabbed his way through the media room with no regard for human life.

Oh, and here are a couple of Falcons fans getting in on the dab action, too:

It’s a shame we have to wait until next season to see these two teams duel again.
