Sorry Hulk Hogan, You’re Not Invited to LeSean McCoy’s Party

The Buffalo Bills’ running back opens his ‘Private Extravaganza’ to everyone on the planet – except the recently fired WWE star

With veterans set to report to NFL training camps this week, players are doing all they can to savor their final moments of freedom; sadly, LeSean McCoy is not having the send-off he was hoping for.

The Buffalo Bills’ brand-new back had originally planned on throwing a “Private Event” on Sunday to bring his offseason to a close, though his soiree was open to “females only.” Not surprisingly, that requirement – plus demands that all potential attendees submit a photo, sign a confidentiality agreement and adhere to McCoy’s mandated (and we imagine, rather minimal) dress code – quickly became the stuff of Internet legend, and drew the ire of his new team, who asked him to remove the invite from Instagram.

To his credit, Shady obliged, and apparently had a change of heart, too. Because what had once been a private event was suddenly open to the public, and it featured an exclusive DJ set from Donald Trump, a smoothie bar, an appearance from President Obama and a performance from the feuding Meek Mill and Drake. LeSean McCoy brings people together.

Despite all that, there was one person who wasn’t invited: Hulk Hogan, the wrestling icon fired by WWE last week for making racist comments (no word on whether his daughter Brooke was still welcome – though we imagine she’s still on the list). Here’s what McCoy had to say about impromptu change of party plans, via Instagram:

“Since the media and Internet took my before-camp party outta context, I had to switch up my party strategy. So tonight, I’ll be inviting everyone to my back-to-business party,” he wrote. “Don’t bring your ID, because there won’t be any alcohol anyway. Open smoothie bar all night tho. Don’t worry about the confidentiality agreement. No only are ladies invited but everyone is invited, except Hulk Hogan. Turn up time party time!”

Of course, given that he posted the message hours before his original “Private Extravaganza” was set to commence, it’s not clear if the party actually went down last night – Hogan seems to have spent Sunday retweeting messages of support from fans – but either way, McCoy’s already met his party-with-women-in-skimpy-clothing requirement, and is ready to hit the NFL season hard.
