See Tom Brady Make Fun of Deflategate in New Commercial

It doesn’t look like we’ll ever completely move on from Deflategate, but at least Tom Brady has gotten to the point where he can joke about it.
After missing the first four games of the NFL season due to his role in Deflategate, Brady has teamed up with Foot Locker ahead of their Week of Greatness to get his final say about everyone’s favorite sports scandal. In the commercial that dropped on Wednesday, Brady overhears two fans walking into a diner questioning how Foot Locker keeps making their Week of Greatness better every year. That’s when he emerges from the shadows to give them some life lessons about questioning what you don’t know.
“You know, that’s an unfortunate mindset you’ve got there,” Brady says. “Just because something is great year after year doesn’t mean anything is going on. Why can’t some things just be great? It starts with questions and then questions turn into assumptions and then assumptions turn into vacations. So why would you punish the Week of Greatness for something that never even happened? I’ve lost my appetite.”

This might be Brady’s way of clearing his name since he didn’t get an opportunity to when he opted not to pursue further legal options in an effort to “move on from it” personally. Either way, this isn’t the first time Foot Locker has taken the approach of poking fun at a well known sports scandal, and we can only hope it’s not the last.
