Seattle Seahawks Jab Jimmy Fallon With Some ‘Superlatives’ of Their Own

Tired of always being the subject of a recurring ‘Tonight Show’ bit, Seattle’s players strike back

The NFL season is past the halfway point, and while the Seattle Seahawks have scuffled, they’re definitely leading the league in one key category: Jimmy Fallon’s acrimony.

Prior to the ‘Hawks Week 1 battle with the Packers, the Tonight Show host poked fun at players J.R. Sweezy, Jon Ryan, Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch in one of his “superlatives” segments. And with the Seahawks scheduled to take on the Cardinals on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, he put them on blast once again, this time sprinkling in some new faces to keep things fresh.

But unfortunately for Ryan, Sweezy and Lynch, they were once again on the receiving end of Fallon’s best jabs and, well, they’re kinda sick of it. So the Seahawks decided it was time to get their revenge – with some superlatives of their own.

“So [Fallon] has his own late night show?” Ryan asks in the new video. “Like a local thing around here that he does? Like Leno or Letterman, but probably just a little bit later and not as good? OK, so you just want me to go on and make fun of him?”

Then, the floodgates opened, with the Seahawks taking turns slapping Fallon in the face, declaring him “Most likely to never get right-swiped on Tinder,” “Most likely to be the only guy in Lane Bryant” and “Most likely to be less funny than Conan.” Then, Lynch shows up to deliver the knockout punch, staying true to himself by keeping his word count to a minimum:”Man, fuck Jimmy Fallon!”

Well played, Seahawks.
