Nate Diaz’s Badass Status Confirmed by California State Assembly

Of all the rewards Nick Diaz received after beating Conor McGregor, the latest has also got to be the greatest – even better than that customized bong.
On Monday night, the Stockton Slugger was presented with an official resolution from the California State Assembly, one that recognized his badass status and celebrated his work with children and teens at the jiu-jitsu center he runs in Lodi, California. Assemblyman Jim Cooper was on hand to present Diaz with the document, which calls his win over McGregor at UFC 196 “one of the biggest upsets in UFC history.”
“The exploits of Nathan Diaz, a successful American mixed martial artist from Stockton, have been a source of great joy and pride to the people of the State of California,” the resolution reads. “The people of California are proud to recognize athletes of the caliber of Diaz, who possess the skill and determination to succeed in their efforts.”
It’s been nearly three months since Diaz defeated McGregor at UFC 196, and in the time since, he’s received personalized bongs and invitations to get high on Julian Marley’s supply. Diaz has also been seen kicking it with Jean-Claude Van Damme, partying it up in Hollywood until the wee hours of the morning and throwing as much shade as possible at McGregor at every waking opportunity.
Now, let’s hope he’s rewarded with another fight against Mac. C’mon guys, do it for us..
