Iggy Azalea on Her Engagement to Nick Young: ‘We’re Good’

It doesn’t look like Nick Young and Iggy Azalea’s engagement is doomed after all.
It’s been a little over a week since D’Angelo Russell became the most hated Los Angeles Laker since Dwight Howard for shooting a video of Young, his teammate, discussing his infidelities. During that time, Russell has gotten it in the neck from both Lakers fans and celebrities who live in glass houses, while Young has been shut down for the remainder of the season after coach Byron Scott said he’s mentally checked out (though, really, how can you tell?) That’s not a big surprise, either, seeing as TMZ reported his relationship with Azalea was on the rocks despite his best efforts to make it work.
Other than a tweet thanking Russell for “his film,” Azelea hasn’t said much about the ordeal or the status of her relationship with Young. But she just stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show – sporting her $500,000 engagement ring – to talk about it all, and revealed that it’s all good on the home front.
“We’re good,” Azalea said. “There isn’t [any controversy] at home. Just on the Internet.”
Azalea also discussed how she’s faced a lot more criticism than usual on social media in wake of this debacle and that she’s only recently recovered from it.
“There’s just this really weird place on the Internet where, it’s like, we call them trolls,” she said. “There’s just a lot of people that take great joy in saying really awful things to people. So I got a lot of that.”
