The only person who plans a better summer than Cristiano Ronaldo might be Rob Gronkowski.
When we last saw Ronaldo, he was on an emotional rollercoaster after having his Euro 2016 championship game cut short due to injury, only to see Portugal persevere without him and beat France by a final score of 1-0. Since then, Ronaldo has celebrated the victory by opening his own luxury hotel in his hometown and basking in the news that Madeira International Airport will soon be renamed in his honor. (This is all in addition to Ronaldo having his own statue and museum on the island, by the way, so we should probably expect the whole place to be named after him next).
Until then, you’ll probably find Ronaldo vacationing—err, rehabbing in Las Vegas where he is currently chopping it up with some of your favorite celebrities. He was spotted hanging out with his buddies at a Jennifer Lopez concert on Sunday night — he was also one of many celebrating Lopez’s birthday after the show — and he paid a visit to UFC superstar Conor McGregor at his training camp while he prepares himself for his highly anticipated rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202.
The Forbes stuff, of course, is in reference to Ronaldo being the highest paid athlete in the world at $88 million. McGregor also made Forbes‘ list this year, making him the first MMA to be included, but he has a long way to go before he’s rubbing shoulders with the Ronaldo’s and Messi’s of the world. Beating Diaz next month is probably a good first step.
