As UFC fans already know by now, Ronda Rousey and Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino aren’t the best of friends. While Cyborg felt terrible for the backlash Rousey received following her devastating loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, the two have exchanged shots at each other time and time again through the media over the last few years. That ranges from Rousey saying Cyborg should be charged with attempted homicide to Cyborg doing the Running Man challenge with a Rousey cutout on her face to Cyborg saying Rousey has a “weak mind” for contemplating suicide to, well, you get the picture.
With that in mind, TMZ caught up with Cyborg earlier this week after the current bantamweight champion of the world, Miesha Tate, said it would be “really cool” to fight her. While Cyborg agrees, she made it clear that her priority is still to take down Rousey. Or, you know, try to.
“Ronda Rousey,” Cyborg said when asked if she’d rather face Rousey or Tate. “Of course! Me and Ronda have a novella together, and you have to finish a novella. Everybody wants to watch this fight. If you ask all the fans who they want to see, I think they want to see Ronda Rousey and Cyborg.”
And the ending to that novella?
“I’ll kill her,” said Cyborg. “I put everything she said about me in my hands.”
This comes a few days after Tate called out Rousey on Conan, by the way. It’s almost like everyone is trying to trash talk Rousey back into the Octagon.
