Aaron Rodgers Shows Off His Sword-Fighting Skills

Turns out you’re never too old to enroll at Professor Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters – not even if you’re a 31-year-old NFL MVP.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spent much of his career slicing up defenses, but he doesn’t want to get complacent after ten years on the job, so he’s kicked his offseason training up a notch – by working some semi-serious sword training into his regiment. Hey, anything to vanquish the Seattle Seahawks, we suppose.
Rodgers’ longtime girlfriend, Olivia Munn, is preparing for her role as Psylocke – a mutant with telekinetic powers and a love for “psychic katanas” – in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie. And, since Rodgers is a supportive boyfriend who is still a month away from having to check in for training camp, he has plenty of time to help her prepare for the sword-wielding role.
Munn posted a video on Instagram Sunday showing off her skills, which are sure to make any Marvel fanatic keel over in excitement. It just so happened that Rogers was working on his own set of moves in the background, too, and while they weren’t quite as crisp, he more than made up for it by putting on a serious game face. Sure, it’s kind of goofy, but the man is a four-time Pro Bowler, two-time MVP and Super Bowl champ – he knows what he’s doing.
Will his swordsmanship help Rodgers lead the Pack back to the Super Bowl? We’ll find out soon enough; at the very least, he’s probably upped his Fruit Ninja score.
