The protests that erupted in the wake of African American Minneapolis resident George Floyd being killed by a white police officer who knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes on May 25th have now spread all over the globe. Protesters from France to Syria to New Zealand to Kenya are carrying signs and shouting chants in support of Black Lives Matter and against the police brutality that continues to take African American lives. On June 1st, protesters gathered outside the U.S. consulate in Barcelona, Spain.
