Her first meal was seafood, fresh vegitables and champaign. “It was exciting but very scary,” she said. “It was just unreal, a moment snapped out of time, like a dream that I expected someone to come snatch.”

So far, Green has painted 800 ceramic plates. She plans to paint 50 more a year, until the death penalty is abolished.
