Watch Barack Obama Say ‘YOLO,’ Use Selfie Stick in New Video

Barack Obama, President of the United States, Commander in Chief, the leader of the free world, is just like us — a YOLOing, selfie-snapping regular Joe who also likes to steal his buddy’s aviator sunglasses (Vice President Joe Biden, in this case) and blast some finger guns in the mirror.
In a new video for BuzzFeed with the winking clickbait title “Things Everybody Does But Doesn’t Talk About,” the POTUS and a run-of-the-mill man take turns mugging for the mirror, searching for the perfect selfie angle and “thanking” Obama for their inconsequential problems — the latter trips and spills his coffee; the former struggles to dunk his presidential-sized cookie in a glass of milk.
The goofy clip also features Obama drawing an adorably cheesy portrait of the First Lady and practicing his jump shot with an invisible basketball. “Can I live?” Obama asks, when the unnamed bro catches him celebrating his game-winning swish.
Buzzfeed created the video to promote the central component of Obama’s healthcare legislation, the marketplace, which closes its current open enrollment session on February 15th — hence the bit where Obama practices the pronunciation of “February” over and over in the mirror.
Obama has gone to great, often humorous, lengths to promote HealthCare.gov, most notably sitting down with Zach Galifianakis for a hilariously awkward edition of “Between Two Ferns.” More recently, the President took over for Stephen Colbert during one of the final episodes of the Colbert Report, cracking jokes about the marketplace’s infamously finicky launch: “Remember the original healthcare.gov website? I think that’s where Disney got the idea for Frozen.”
