Something’s A Foot: Bon Iver Designs New Shoe

Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has teamed up with the Los Angeles-based company Keep for a limited edition shoe called the Ramos, designed by Vernon.
Featuring “herringbone accents, a black fishbone detail across the toe, and a canvas upper custom-dyed to a perfect pale salmon,” the shoe was inspired by Keep and Vernon’s mutual love of animals. Proceeds will go to support the animal advocacy group Best Friends Animal Society, which operates the largest shelter for abandoned and abused animals in the country. You’ll be able to pre-order the shoe on starting on July 1st, and they’ll ship in October when they go on sale at select retailers.
This is not the first time Keep has teamed up with an artist for a limited edition shoe. Back in 2010, Animal Collective collaborated with the company on a line of shoes where each member designed their own. Sales from that project went to benefit the Socorro Island Conservation Fund.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, Madonna revealed her Truth or Dare shoe collection, which will hit stores this summer, back in March, and Lil Wayne announced in April that he was developing a signature sneak with Supra shoes.
