Madonna’s “Girl Gone Wild” video is officially the buzz clip of the week with its evocation of the black-and-white high glamour of her early 1990s Sex phase. For visual aids, Madge turned to Agent Provocateur for her brassiere (also featured on the single cover) and Zoraide for her high-stepping heels. reports that the shoes were custom-made for her by Paola Bay of the Italian footwear label. “She wanted them as high as possible and to be able to dance with them on,” Bay explains. The singer’s specialized t-straps, once again a trend, are made of black silk embroidered with silver thread. “We did three fittings to make sure they were like second skin.” Interestingly, Madonna’s own Truth or Dare shoe line, hitting stores in August, features a similar pair.

• Coinciding with the recent trend of collaborations between fashion figures and performing arts, Lady Gaga’s creative director Nicola Formichetti will be designing the costumes for the Monteverdi pop-rock opera Pop’pea. “[It’s a] dream come true,” Formichetti tweeted.  The show will run from May 29 to June 7 at Paris’ Théâtre du Châtelet.

• Nail polish brand OPI is no stranger to timely collaborations – note their recent Betsey Johnson and Nicki Minaj “Pink Friday” collections – but their Amazing Spider-Man-themed collection is a bit odd. Though the capsule collection boasts franchise-relevant names like “Your Web or Mine?” and “My Boyfriend Scales Walls,” the actual shades don’t seem relevant to the film’s palette at all.  In any case, the collection hits stores in May.

• Nars will be launching a new capsule makeup collection in honor of Andy Warhol. Set to launch this autumn, it will “evoke the cool, image-rich, character-laden world of Warhol” in packaging designed to reflect his eye-popping Factory aesthetic.

• Someone egged Alexander Wang’s store in Soho this week, presumably in response to his ongoing legal dramas. On that front, things continue to get more complex: the multi-million dollar suit has temporarily been dropped, though the conflict is far from over. The plaintiffs’ lawyer, Ming Hai, has filed to discontinue the case without prejudice. A new lawyer will refile the case in federal court.
