Kevin Spacey will host the the 2017 Tony Awards, which will air June 11th on CBS, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The ceremony will be broadcast from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

“I was their second choice for Usual Suspects, fourth choice for American Beauty and 15th choice to host this year’s Tony Awards,” Spacey cracked of the gig. “I think my career is definitely going in the right direction. Maybe I can get shortlisted to host the Oscars if everyone else turns it down.”

Jane Krakowski and Christopher Jackson will announce the nominees for the 2017 Tony Awards May 2nd.

While best known for his film work and his turn on Netflix’s House of Cards, Spacey began his career as a stage actor, making his Broadway debut in 1982. Spacey remains heavily involved in theater, serving as the artistic director of London’s Old Vic between 2004 and 2015. In 1991, he won the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his turn in Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers. Spacey earned a Best Actor in a Play nomination in 1999 for a revival of Eugene O’Neill’s The Iceman Cometh.

James Corden hosted last year’s Tony Awards, which saw a major ratings boost thanks in part to the popularity of Hamilton. The show took home 11 awards after being nominated for 16.
