Jon Bon Jovi has joined forces with Avon as the brand’s newest celebrity partner.
On Monday, Avon announced that the Bon Jovi frontman will be the next face of their Unplugged fragrances. He will appear in both the Unplugged for Her and Unplugged for Him ads, which the cosmetics company claim will be inspired by “passion, soulfulness and intensity.” Bon Jovi does seem to fit that bill.
“Avon, and the Avon Foundation for Women, have given support and a voice to those in need for decades,” said Bon Jovi in a statement. “Their philosophy of empowerment sends a strong message and I’m pleased to partner with them.”
Added Lily DeStefano, Vice President of Avon North America Beauty, “Jon’s music and philanthropic work celebrate independence and optimism, two beautiful qualities that radiate from within. The Unplugged scents evoke an emotional connection – something Jon inspires in audiences around the world.”
The women’s version of Unplugged is a floral, oriental scent and will be available in October. The men’s is a woody, floral musk set for release in November.
