Grammy Awards Blowout: What to Watch for, Highlights From Ceremonies Past, Live Blog and More

During the past few days — as more and more big names get added to the Grammy line-up — it’s been hard to shake the feeling that this year’s ceremony might actually be great. It’s hard to mess up Lady Gaga doing “Born This Way,” Mick Jagger honoring Solomon Burke, an all-star tribute to Aretha Franklin, Dr. Dre performing with Eminem and Bob Dylan singing with Mumford & Sons and The Avett Brothers. Yes, this is the same awards show that gave Herbie Hancock Album Of The Year for his jazz tribute to Joni Mitchell in 2008, but maybe this time they’ve learned from their mistakes.
We’ll have full, breaking coverage of the show right here. Check in for Rob Sheffield’s live blog, photos from the red carpet, a running tally of the winners, Rolling Stone editors’ predictions, a video gallery of the top 10 Grammy moments from the past and a round-up of the whole show at the end of the night.
