Well, that was fast. Two days after Disney unveiled their controversial Joy Division-inspired Mickey Mouse t-shirt, they have pulled the item from their site.
Today, a company spokesman said, "As soon as we became aware there could be an issue, we pulled it from our shelves and our online store to review the situation further." The sales link to the shirt, which paid homage to the band's 1979 record Unknown Pleasures, now leads to a blank page.
For those of you hoping to nab these now-limited tees, take heart: Disney may have lost control of their merch, but the shirt is now available on eBay for $202.
