Justin Bieber’s 3D concert movie Never Say Never opened with an estimated $12.4 million on Friday, and is expected to have grossed over $30 million in its first weekend of release when final numbers come out. Never Say Never narrowly beat out the new Adam Sandler picture Just Go With It on Friday, though it is possible that the comedy could outpace the teen idol and win the weekend, as tickets for concert films typically drop off significantly after opening night. Madonna Set to Start Work on New Album
According to Live Nation chairman Irving Azoff, Madonna is about to begin work on the first album that’s part of her $100 million multi-rights contract with the company. Daryl Hall’s Show Moves From Web to TV
Daryl Hall’s Live From Daryl’s House series will move from the internet to television in the fall. The series, which features performances by a wide range of artists recorded at Hall’s home in upstate New York, will be syndicated by Tribune Broadcasting and is already set to air in seven markets including New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
