Devo Memorabilia Hits Fab.com

Starting today, fans of Devo will have a week to whip their homes into shape with one-of-a-kind paraphernalia and pop décor inspired by the 1980s cult icons. Fab.com, an online marketplace for design enthusiasts, has partnered with Kii Arens to produce an exclusive Devo-inspired collection.
“Devo appeals to modernists and design people,” Fab co-founder and chief creative officer Bradford Shellhammer told Rolling Stone, “so it was a very organic collaboration for us.”
Arens co-directed Devo’s “What We Do” video, and three actual set pieces from that visual smorgasbord are included in the sale. In addition, Fab is also selling signed drumheads, autographed concert posters and all new Devo t-shirts, pillows and prints.
When Shellhammer found out about his Devo background, the two began hashing out a way to bring those memorable pieces to customers in the 21st century. And it wasn’t long before Devo, including bassist Gerald Casale, jumped onboard.
“Being very graphic and very Warhol-inspired, we wanted to be the channel that brought these collectibles and memorabilia to our customers,” Shellhammer said. “I was tickle-me pink when I heard that Devo themselves wanted to be involved.”
This is not the first time that Fab.com has delivered pop into the inbox of their 3.2 million email subscribers. In March, they were one of three e-commerce sites to sell Madonna’s new album. According to Shellhammer, the company is considering expanding beyond design and décor to include music.
The Devo sale starts today only on Fab.com and will continue until Thursday, April 19th.
