Bon Jovi to Play Free Central Park Show for All-Star Game

Bon Jovi will perform a free concert in New York’s Central Park on July 12th to celebrate Major League Baseball’s All-Star game at Yankee Stadium. New York mayor Mike Bloomberg is expected to announce the concert at a press conference today. The game itself, to be played July 15th, will the last all-star game to be played at the House That Ruth Built, as the Yankees will introduce a new stadium next year. This is the final season for the crosstown Mets’ Shea Stadium, with Billy Joel performing on July 16th and 18th at the Flushing, Queens, landmark to celebrate its demise.
