The Black Eyed Peas are getting their own dancing simulator, thanks to video game maker UbiSoft. Titled the The Black Eyed Peas Experience, the upcoming Wii and Kinect for Xbox 360 title lets players shake a leg with band members including will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo. Featured songs will include top hits such as “Let’s Get It Started,” “I Gotta Feeling” and “Boom Boom Pow.”
Coming from the publisher of Rocksmith and Michael Jackson: The Experience, the title will play similarly to Just Dance on Nintendo platforms, with players tasked with mimicking musicians’ moves using the Wii remote. Players of the Xbox 360 edition will use natural physical movements to play instead, courtesy of Microsoft’s gesture-tracking Kinect accessory.
Featuring 3D virtual avatars of the Black Eyed Peas, who are recording dance moves and vocals for the game, players can sing along with on-screen lyrics, or get their groove on alongside the pop icons. Dance routines will be provided by signature group choreographer Fatima Robinson.
The experience will be “100 percent authentic” said group frontman will.i.am, who has previously prepared music for games such as The Urbz: Sims In The City, in a prepared statement. No release for the title, which is said to be “coming soon,” has been given.
