Johnny Riggs worked as a DJ at WHFS in Baltimore/Washington D.C. from 1992-2000, XM Radio from 2000-2002, and now works again at WHFS. He also met a lot of musicians when he played in the bands Cinnamon Toast and Trampoline. These portraits were taken with a Polaroid Captiva.

"I remember being surprised by how tall he was (WAY over 6 feet). I remember asking him on the what he had in his pockets. He reached down deep, brought out some bills and said 'some money,' and plunked down a small baggie and added, 'and a bag of weed.'"

"I was reading The Big Book of Beastly Mispronunciations by Charles Harrington Elster, and I had just learned that you're supposed to pronounce the name of the herb "cumin" in the same way that you would say 'I'm comin' to get ya.' Michael asked to see the book. After reading the 'cumin' section he handed it back to me and deadpanned 'I'm not saying that.'"
