Shania Twain is going for the gold. Fresh from a headlining performance at the Stagecoach Festival where she debuted her comeback single "Life's About to Get Good," the country queen is teasing the studio version of the song in a new TV commercial for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
A song about reclaiming one's independence after kicking a former flame – let's call him Mutt – to the curb, "Life's About to Get Good" toes Twain's familiar line between pop and country. The song officially hits the airwaves next month, but 60 seconds can be heard during the ad above, which aims to whip up anticipation for the upcoming XXIII Winter Olympic Games in South Korea. Filled with plenty of snow, skis and patriotic sportswear, the clip includes action shots of nearly a dozen gold medalists, including Shaun White, Lindsey Vonn and Chloe Kim.
Written by Twain, "Life's About to Get Good" marks the initial taste of the singer's upcoming album, her first since 2002. The still-untitled record is currently slated for release in September.
