When Ryan Kinder took a moment recently to assess the state of the world, the crystalline-voiced singer-guitarist didn't like what he saw. The way he perceived it, everyone could share and show a little more compassion. Teaming up with songwriters Luke Sheets and Brice Long, Kinder, one of Rolling Stone Country's Artists You Need to Know, penned his own plea for compassion: "Everybody's Got a Little Love to Give." (Listen to the song below.)

"As songwriters, we are always focused in on writing a specific song for my project or another artist, who is looking. Every once in a while, we have to just step back, reflect and write what is on our hearts, no strings attached," Kinder tells Rolling Stone Country. "This is exactly what Luke, Brice and I did. We searched for a message that would impact, challenge, unite — not only us in the writing room, but hopefully anyone who would possibly hear it."

Kinder released "Everybody's Got a Little Love to Give" online this week, writing: "I wanted to post this song as an opportunity to remind myself, and others that hear it, what life is really about. Love. Giving and receiving." Currently at work on his upcoming studio album for Warner Music Nashville, Kinder released a stripped-down EP, Deconstructed, in April.
