The Grand Ole Opry posted video of Carly Pearce's performance of her single "Every Little Thing" over the weekend, ahead of the singer's return visit on April 15th. The Taylor Mill, Kentucky, native stripped down the already sparse track when she took the Opry stage in February, spinning a vivid remembrance of a lost love.
Written by Pearce, newcomer Emily Shackelton and busbee (Maren Morris, Keith Urban), the song remembers the seemingly banal details the made a past relationship so meaningful. Speaking to RSC in 2015, Pearce referred to herself as the veteran songwriter's "baby artist," adding, "I found a true champion for me."
Touted as one of Rolling Stone Country's Artists You Need to Know, Pearce independently released "Every Little Thing" in late 2016. The popularity of the song led in part to her signing with Big Machine Label Group on January 23rd, 2017, re-releasing the track through BMLG the same day.
Pearce is expected to release her debut full-length in 2017. As those plans are finalized, she plays a handful of dates across the U.S. this summer, with a full list here.
