When: Saturday, June 9th, 9:30 p.m.
Where: Ole Red
Midland are noticeably absent from the official CMA Fest lineup this year, which makes the urban cowboys' appearance in Spotify's Hot Country lineup at the Ole Red restaurant on Broadway an especially hot (free) ticket. Even before "Drinkin' Problem" became an unexpected Number One hit, the Texas-based trio was strutting all over Austin and Nashville, adding some much-needed – and unapologetic – swag to country music. But the guys are also in on the gag, winking and nodding with every muy loco fashion choice, outsized stage move and cowboy-hatted selfie. It's precisely what makes them so damn fun – and worth driving to Bonnaroo to snag a ticket and catch their Saturday-afternoon set too. J.H.
