Charlie Worsham

Album: Beginning of Things
Release Date: April 21st
Since releasing his debut Rubberband in 2013, Charlie Worsham has established himself as something of an outlier among his male peers. Where others trade in trucks and tan lines, Worsham brings a cerebral sensitivity to his music, one that has earned the 31-year-old Mississippi native a level of critical acclaim typically reserved for artists with more than one album under their belts. After four years, Worsham returns with Beginning of Things, a quietly excellent set of songs that show off both Worsham's thoughtful storytelling and his serious musical chops. Co-producers Frank Liddell and Eric Masse bring unusual sonic textures to the songs, like the funky distortion of "Call You Up" and sweeping strings of "Cut Your Groove," while Worsham's voice, strong and agile, has never sounded better.
