Delta Rae

WHO Songwriter brothers Ian and Eric Hölljes called on their younger sister Brittany and childhood friend Elizabeth Hopkins to front their rootsy pop tunes. Says Hopkins, 27, "I could sing harmony with Brittany in my sleep."

SOUND If Fleetwood Mac came up in North Carolina, they might resemble Delta Rae. "There's a magical thing about the South," says Brittany, 22. "Fireflies and thunderstorms in the summertime."

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY Warner Bros. exec Seymour Stein – who helped discover Madonna and the Ramones – signed Delta Rae after visiting them at their house in the Carolina woods last year. Says Brittany, "Now we just want to do him proud."

BROTHERLY LOVE Delta Rae's frontwomen give Ian and Eric props for writing lyrics from a female perspective. Says Brittany, "My mom did a good job imbuing them with some good, sensitive souls."
