The indie pop band Smith Westerns came by the Rolling Stone office recently to play acoustic versions of two songs from their brand new album Dye It Blonde as well as a tune from their 2009 debut. After the set, they talked about graduating from lo-fi basement recordings to lush, pristine production on their new record and their experiences as a teenage rock band in Chicago.
