Mumford and Sons

December 7, 2010

Fast-rising British combo Mumford & Sons are renowned for their folk-inflected melodies and soaring four-part harmonies. They’re both on display in undistilled form in this exclusive live performance at Rolling Stone’s New York offices.

The group serves up “Timshel,” from their debut LP, Sigh No More, and a track — one of the first they wrote together — called “Sister,” off their second EP.

The group also sits down for an interview, in which they talk about their songwriting process (or lack of one), reveal that they’ll begin recording their next LP early next year and insist they’re “not a part of any scene!”
