Former X frontman John Doe stopped by the Rolling Stone studio recently to play a handful of cuts from his latest solo album, Keeper. After the set, Doe explained how he learned to write "happy songs that weren't soft or boring," and he talked about what it was like to perform at Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary concert in Wisconsin.
