Anthony Mackie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, two of the stars of the upcoming comedy The Night Before, threw down in a major way on Thursday night's episode of Spike TV's Lip Sync Battle, taking on two dance-pop classics.
Mackie started off the proceedings with a spot-on impersonation of MC Hammer (or, make that, Hammer), replete with white suit, sunglasses and slick moves, for a rendition of the rapper's 1991 hit, "2 Legit 2 Quit." Despite killing the performance, which featured Mackie ripping off his suit to reveal a Hammer-esque black spandex leotard, he was no match for Gordon-Levitt, who took on Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" and knocked out an almost note-perfect rendition of the video's choreography.
The performances in the holiday-themed episode were watched over by The Night Before star Seth Rogen, dressed as Santa Claus and laughing uproariously.
Levitt has long proven his lip sync battle skills, having previously busted out expert renditions of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" and Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" on an episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
