Saturday Night Live's Colin Jost and Michael Che set up shop at the Republican National Convention for a special installment of Weekend Update Wednesday.
The pair tore into the Trump spectacle, mocking "celebrity speakers" Antonio Sabàto Jr. and Scott Baio (who still owes Che $15), Rudy Giuliani's inability to grasp basic directions like up and down and Chris Christie's ethically dubious "Guilty" bit regarding Hillary Clinton.
"I don't know how many people pointed this out," Jost remarked, "but Christie actually plagiarized part of his speech from the Salem Witch Trials."
The 12-minute segment also featured a prerecorded bit from Che, who walked around the Quicken Loans Arena playing his favorite new app, "Trumpémon Go," in which, he joked, "You have to catch the rarest creature of them all: Minorities at the RNC."
Kate McKinnon helped close out the special edition of Weekend Update with her wild impersonation of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who addressed her recent spat with Trump and unleashed a torrent of patented "Ginsburns" on Republican brass. While the Justice had sharp words for Trump and Christie — and sensual words for Merrick Garland ("He's like a Supreme Court with only eight judges, hung") — she left the GOP's vice presidential nominee scaled: "You're never gonna get rid of me, I rode here on a dog, Colin. His name's Mike Pence."
Speakers at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night gave a Nazi-esque salute and likened Donald Trump to a circus man. Watch here.
