Watch 'SNL' Mash Up 'Walking Dead' With 'Chappelle's Show'

Dave Chappelle brings back beloved characters to acts as Negan's potential victims

'SNL' mashed-up 'The Walking Dead' with 'Chappelle's Show' in a sketch where Dave Chappelle revived some of his beloved characters to face Negan.

Saturday Night Live mashed up one of this year's biggest TV moments – the climatic kill-off on The Walking Dead – with one of TV's greatest sketch comedy shows in a skit where Dave Chappelle, as Walking Dead villain Negan, chooses which character from the comedian's Chappelle's Show to murder.

"People been asking me if I'm going to do any characters from Chappelle's Show tonight, and at first I wasn't going to, and then I saw that episode of Walking Dead when they smash this guy Glenn on the head and kill him," Chappelle said of the mash-up prior to the sketch. "In that spirit, and with that in mind, I hope you enjoy this."

As Chappelle's Negan walks ominously with a bat slung over his shoulder, the comedian brought back beloved characters that fans of Chappelle's Show haven't seen in a decade to serve as potential victims: blind black guy/white supremacist Clayton Bigsby, news anchor Chuck Taylor, Chappelle's on-point Lil Jon impersonation and resident crackhead Tyrone Biggums, who ultimately gets decapitated by the barb-wired end of Negan's bat.

Before dying – Biggums still has two months before his Obamacare is revoked by President Trump – the severed head delivers a speech/hallucination aimed at unifying the country through laughter.

"For even though our country seems irrevocably severed like a man from his head, let my example prove that we should continue to move forward," Biggums' head said. "Let us see ourselves in one another, for only empathy can conquer hate."
