The Pfefferman family continue their introspective journey in an emotional trailer for the third season of Transparent. "When one person in a family transitions, everyone transitions," Shelley (Judith Light) says in the clip, teasing the drama ahead for the acclaimed Amazon series.
The trailer opens at Maura's (Jeffrey Tambor) birthday party, where, after blowing out cake candles, she reveals, "One of the things I wished for is that you don't call me 'moppa' anymore … I thought you guys could start calling me 'mom.'" Elsewhere in the clip, soundtracked by Alabama Shakes' "Sound & Color," Maura consults with a doctor to preview her new look after gender confirmation surgery. "She just wants to be pretty," reflects daughter Ali (Gaby Hoffmann). "She deserves to feel pretty."
Amazon's season description teases, "All paths converge on a family cruise to Mexico, affirming that though their family history is murky, each Pfefferman is their truest self when they come together."
Transparent Season Three premieres Friday, September 23rd.
