Melissa McCarthy rolled through Midtown Manhattan Friday morning on a segway-esque podium, naturally, as her famous Saturday Night Live character, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. The live prank comes just before her hosting the next episode of SNL.
On Friday, McCarthy was photographed and videotaped yelling at cars from her motorized podium. This week, the real Spicer noticeably missed this week's press briefings due to previously scheduled Navy Reserve duties, according CNN, via the White House.
McCarthy's unhinged impression of Spicer's eccentric conferences have been a recurring boon for the late night sketch show, often eclipsing the monologues starring Alec Baldwin as President Trump. McCarthy's Spicer condescends the press with a genius mix of angst and incredulity of a power-tripping little league baseball coach.
McCarthy's hosting episode of SNL will air on Saturday, May 13th simultaneously on both coasts. The musical guest is rock trio, Haim.
