Watch Justin Bieber Take Over Corden's 'Late Late Show' Monologue

Pop singer nails jokes and warms up crowd while unsuspecting Corden takes a bath

Justin Bieber stole James Corden's monologue during Thursday's episode of 'The Late Late Show.'

Justin Bieber and James Corden have developed a Late Late Show rapport in recent months. The Canadian pop star sang some hits from his latest LP, Purpose, during a November "Carpool Karaoke" segment, and he crashed the set to play drums this summer. But Bieber crossed the line of decorum during Thursday's episode, stealing Corden's monologue in a hilarious bit.

In the clip, Bieber walks onstage unannounced, warming up the crowd with canned banter ("We've got a big show tonight," "Thank you so much for staying up with us") and nailing a handful of jokes.

"President Obama revealed that his favorite song of 2015 was 'How Much a Dollar Cost' by Kendrick Lamar," Bieber says. "And not to be outdone, Hillary revealed that her favorite song of 2015 was 'Whatever Will Get You to Like Me.'" He also jokingly claimed to have written this zinger: "I read that Jeb Bush's Super PAC has spent over $50 million on his campaign. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders has spent over $5 on his latest haircut."

Corden comes storming out from backstage wearing a bath robe and towel, berating bandleader Reggie Watts for starting the music without him. "Can I be honest with you?" Bieber asks. "I just really want to host my own late-night show." After some crowd persuasion, Corden reluctantly hands over his trademark credits intro.
