'Star Wars' superfan, Candace Payne, a.k.a. "Chewbacca Mom," drove James Corden and J.J. Abrams to work on 'The Late Late Show' Monday.

The most viral mom on the Internet 'Chewbacca Mom' — a.k.a. Candace Payne — carpooled with J.J. Abrams and James Corden, and spoke about her record-breaking viral video on The Late Late Show Monday.

Payne recreated a few ecstatic moments from her video of a talking Chewbacca mask, only the camera revealed Corden was now in the other seat, anxious to get to work. When the host insisted the mask didn't even sound anything like Chewbacca, Star Wars: Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams appeared in the backseat and politely disagreed.

Abrams strapped on his own Chewbacca mask and offered Payne a quick director's note on how to make the most emphatic Wookie wail. Soon all three were laughing wildly with masks on — easily a top three "Carpool Karaoke" performance.

Later in the show, Payne spoke about the original clip, which garnered 140 million views in three days and became Facebook Live's most-watched video. Payne told Corden that she was a stay-at-home mom and decided to post the clips so her friends and family would know the mask was hers, not her kids':"I knew the moment they saw it they were gonna take it from me, and I'm like, 'I didn't buy it for you, little kids,'" Payne cracked. "'I love you, but this isn't for you!'"

Corden showed a behind-the-scenes clip of Payne meeting Abrams and passed along a message from Chewbacca himself, Peter Mayhew, thanking Payne and inviting her and her family to a Star Wars fan expo in Dallas.
