Bob's Burgers plans to release a compilation on the indie label Sub Pop in May. In addition to songs from regular cast members, the collection will include contributions from an assortment of indie rockers  St. Vincent, the National, Stephin Merritt  and notable comedic actors: Aziz Ansari, who voices a character on the show, Paul Rudd and more.

The Bob's Burgers Music Album covers a lot of ground: according to the iTunes store, the record contains 112 songs in total. Most of these are less than a minute long; one is just 16 seconds. The show's primary cast of Bob (H. Jon Benjamin), Linda (John Roberts), Tina (Dan Mintz), Gene (Eugene Mirman) and Louise (Kristen Schaal) are all featured throughout the the album. Ansari, who plays a student named Darryl in the series, also appears several times, and a slew of guest actors with extensive backgrounds in comedy make cameos: Will Forte, Jordan Peele and Chris Parnell.

Tucked away at the end of the collection are songs from the "Bob's Buskers" series, in which several musicians tackled tunes from the show for animated promotional clips. St. Vincent takes on "Bad Girls," the National and Lapsley cover "Bad Things Happen in the Bathroom" and the Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merritt sings "Electric Love" with the Julie Ruin's Kenny Mellman. The National are especially vocal about their Bob's Burgers fandom  they appear three times on the upcoming record.

Bob's Burgers debuted in 2011; it's seventh season is ongoing. The show took home a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 2014, beating South Park and Futurama.

The Bob's Burgers Music Album is due out May 12th.
