Watch Unity Rise From Riots in Moving 'Orange Is the New Black' Trailer

Litchfield inmates fight for prison reforms with intensity, humor in forthcoming fifth season

The inmates at Litchfield Prison fight for reform in the moving and funny new trailer for Season Five of 'Orange Is the New Black.'

Unity rises from chaos at Litchfield Prison in the new trailer for Season Five of Orange Is the New Black. The show returns to Netflix June 9th.

Season Five takes place over the course of three days at Litchfield, chronicling the events that unfold after the (SPOILER ALERT) untimely death of Pouseey (Samira Wiley) at the end of Season Four. While the new trailer opens with the prisoners rioting, the mayhem soon settles into an airing of grievances and a push for reform.

"Do you get what's going on here?" rails Taystee (Danielle Brooks). "We get beat for no reason. We’re stuffed four in a bunk like we're factory chickens. We're denied basic humanity."

While the trailer teases plenty of intense moments as the inmates set about overhauling Litchfield's culture of oppression, there's also sparks of humor like Cabrera's (Daniella De Jesús) suggestion that they include an anti-gravity chamber to their list of demands, and the séance Crazy Eyes (Uzo Adubo) leads at the end of the clip.
