See 'Melania Trump' Defend Donald Trump's Leaked Tape on 'Colbert'

"If Billy Bush can manipulate Donald Trump, we've got to keep President Trump away from heavy hitters like Mario Lopez," Colbert says

"Melania Trump" appeared on Tuesday's 'Late Show' to blame the leaked tape controversy on the "left wing media, international bankers and Billy Bush."

After Melania Trump gave her first interview in months to defend Donald Trump's behavior on the leaked Access Hollywood tape, actress Laura Benanti parodied her on Tuesday's Late Show. Benanti as Melania blamed the controversy on the "left wing media, international bankers and Billy Bush."

"Yes, it was all Billy Bush's fault. Now I know why they were on a bus, it was easier to throw Billy underneath it," Colbert said in response to Melania's CNN interview.

"So let me get this straight: Melania's defense of Donald Trump, the man who wrote The Art of the Deal, is that he got outmaneuvered by a guy who has been deemed by the Today show to be unqualified to watch someone else make a festive fall frittata. If Billy Bush can manipulate Donald Trump, we've got to keep President Trump away from heavy hitters like Mario Lopez."

"Melania" then appeared via satellite to reiterate what she said in the CNN interview. "[Donald] explained it was 'locker room talk.' I did not know this, but when American men gather to sport, they always brag of grabbing women by the Billy Bush," she said.

"Melania" added that she doesn't expect the Access Hollywood tape to impact Trump's voting totals among women. "Women know it's boy talk," "Melania" said. "Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do?"

Most women know Trump's brand of misogyny – and that's likely to cost him the White House. Watch here.
