See Kimmy Schmidt Turn NYC Into 'Kimmier Place' in New Trailer

Netflix series returns for Season Two on April 15th

A new trailer for 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' shows title character's return to optimistic form

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt returns to Netflix in less than three weeks, and a new trailer promises more impenetrable optimism from the lead character and cult survivor Kimmy, played by Ellie Kemper.

Throughout the clip, the enthusiastic lead turns a bleak and dull New York City into a colorful playground and "Kimmier" place. Both Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski are featured alongside Kemper, and Burgess even sings a bit of his "Peeno Noir" song from the first season. Burgess recently announced a real-life line of Pinot Noir wine.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt returns for its second season on April 15th, with the full season available to stream day-of on Netflix. The sitcom's first season picked up numerous award nominations, including seven nominations at last year's Emmy Awards that recognized the series overall as well as Burgess and Krakowski's performances. The show's co-creator Tina Fey and Mad Men's Jon Hamm were also recognized for their guest appearances.
