Before the American people voted Melania Trump to be their next First Lady, Stephen Colbert interviewed Donald Trump's wife – as played by actress Laura Benanti – for the late-night host's Election Night special on Showtime.
During the interview, Colbert asked Melania about the polling place photo where Donald was looking over at her voting station. "That photo where I was definitely, absolutely voting for my husband and no one else, especially not Hillary Clinton, hashtag I'm with her," she said defensively.
"Melania" outlined her plans for becoming First Lady: "I want to implement a new anti-cyber-bullying initiative," she said. "For instance, wouldn't it be horrible if I want on Twitter and said 'Bill Clinton is a fat bitch.'"
"Melania" also thanked all those who made Trump's unlikely march to the White House possible: "'Lyin'' Ted Cruz, 'low energy' Jeb Bush and his stupid cousin 'Bus Talk' Billy Bush. And of course, none of this would have been possible without the man whose vision drove our entire campaign, thank you Vladimir Putin."
